


At least eight Palestinians have been killed after Israel carried out air and ground attacks across Jenin in the occupied West Bank on Monday.
The Israel Defense Forces launched at least 10 air attacks on the Palestinian militant stronghold. Israel has claimed there are terrorist organizations operating within Jenin to "disrupt the stability and security of the region."

At least two dozen other Palestinians were reportedly injured in the attacks, some of whom are in critical condition.

About 150 armored vehicles and about 1,000 soldiers from "elite special forces and the military, as well as general intelligence, police, and border police" were part of the operation, al Jazeera’s Jerusalem bureau chief said.
The Palestinian Authority Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Israelis had targeted "defenseless civilians," a claim backed up by the Qatari-based news outlet.
