An earthquake with a 5.1 magnitude was felt in northern Iran on Thursday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, as Israel’s military continues to carry out airstrikes across the country.

It was felt in the Qom region, home to Iran’s Fordow nuclear enrichment facility, which is buried deep underneath the area’s mountainous terrain.

Israel has carried out hundreds of strikes against various targets in Iran over the last week. It was one week ago Thursday that Israel’s military carried out its opening attack. Israeli forces have largely not attacked the Fordow facility, though it has attacked several others.

It’s believed that Israel does not have the weapons to destroy Fordow, and wants the United States to get involved in the war because it possesses the Massive Ordnance Penetrator, a 30,000-pound bomb designed to hit underground structures.

President Donald Trump is debating whether the U.S. should do that.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi met with European officials in Geneva on Friday, though he said ahead of those conversations, “We have explicitly told [the U.S.] that as long as the aggression and attacks continue, there is simply no room for talk of dialogue or diplomacy.”
