The Philadelphia Eagles dominated the Kansas City Chiefs in the 2025 Super Bowl on Sunday night in New Orleans, securing their second Lombardi Trophy in team history.
The Eagles, led by quarterback Jalen Hurts, defeated the Chiefs 40-22 in what was a rematch of the 2023 Super Bowl.

The two teams came into the big game with nearly identical records and sweeps through the NFL playoffs. The Eagles handily dismantled a surging Washington Commanders team in the NFC Championship Game two weekends ago, while the Chiefs edged out the Buffalo Bills in the AFC title game.
President Donald Trump was in attendance, becoming the first-ever sitting president to attend the Super Bowl. In a pre-Super Bowl interview with Fox News’s Bret Baier, Trump predicted that the Chiefs would come out on top, pointing to the team’s star quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who he said “really knows how to win.”

“I guess that when you say that when a quarterback’s won as much as he’s won, I have to go with Kansas City,” the president said.
The Chiefs were looking for a third straight Super Bowl title.
