Spectrum News 13 identified reporter Dylan Lyons as the journalist who was shot and killed while covering a homicide near Orlando, Florida.
Lyons and photojournalist Jesse Walden were allegedly shot by Keith Moses, 19, while standing outside a crime scene in Pine Hills, Florida, where a 20-year-old woman was shot and killed earlier Wednesday morning. Moses then went into a nearby home and allegedly shot a mother and her 9-year-old daughter, who later died. The mother and Walden, who are critically injured, remain in the hospital.

Moses has been arrested and charged with murder for the morning killing, and authorities expect he will be charged related to the four other shootings as well.
Spectrum News 13 staff released a tribute to Lyons following his death. Lyons, born and raised in Philadelphia, had graduated from the University of Central Florida and moved to Gainesville, Florida, beginning his "journey up the ladder of career success."
"He took his job very seriously. He loved his career. He loved what he did. He loved the community, telling the stories of people, reporting on the news, and he was just passionate about what he did," Josh Miller, a Spectrum Sports 360 reporter who was a friend of Lyons, said.
During his brief time in the journalism field, Lyons received the best "Politics/Elections Series" award from the Florida Association of Broadcast Journalists and was a finalist for investigative reporting. He loved anchoring and reporting, the outlet said, dedicating his career to "making sure all communities and stories are treated fairly and equally."
"The amount of people that will miss him, I'm sure, I can't even come to fathom how many," Miller said.

A GoFundMe has been set up by his family in order to cover the funeral costs. As of 10:30 a.m. Thursday, the fund raised $19,385 of the $25,000 goal by March 10, the day of his funeral service.
Lyons would have turned 25 years old in March, according to his sister.
"He was an acting father to his niece and nephew who he loved so much. He was a happy soul and wonderful person in my life. My brother was our baby. He was taken too early from us," Lyons's sister, Rachel, said.
Charter Communications, Spectrum News 13's parent company, also released a statement on Lyon's death.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our colleague and the other lives senselessly taken today. Our thoughts are with our employee's family, friends, and co-workers during this very difficult time," the company wrote.
"We remain hopeful that our other colleague who was injured makes a full recovery," the company said of Walden.
