


Dubai illuminated the world’s tallest building, the 2,717-foot-tall Burj Khalifa, in the American flag colors of red, white, and blue to celebrate President Donald Trump’s visit to the United Arab Emirates.
Trump is visiting the UAE as part of his Middle East trip, which will end on Friday. He participated in a state visit with top UAE officials earlier Thursday.

“Burj Khalifa is illuminated in the colors of the American flag to mark the visit of U.S. President @realDonaldTrump to the United Arab Emirates,” the Dubai government press office posted on X.
The building was also lit up in white with the text “UAE welcomes U.S. President” with the American and UAE flags. Dubai’s government also had similar digital boards with the same text and flags across the city.
“Dubai’s streets are decorated with the colors of the United Arab Emirates and United States flags, marking the visit of U.S. President Donald Trump to the country,” they touted, with only digital signs over traffic shown.

The Burj Khalifa, completed in 2009, is arguably the country’s most iconic landmark and can electronically shift colors like the Empire State Building in New York City.
Trump arrived in Abu Dhabi on Thursday and met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The visit follows stops in Qatar and Saudi Arabia.

Trump invited the UAE president to the White House as the two completed a joint partnership on an AI data center complex in the UAE.
“Let me have one month of fixing up the Oval Office, in other words, getting things ready. And I look forward to having you in the White House [and] we’ll celebrate together,” Trump said on Thursday.
