A super PAC backing Republican presidential candidate Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND) is spending millions of dollars to boost the governor in two early nominating states that will help winnow the 2024 GOP field next year.
The Best of America PAC announced a $3.9 million television ad campaign in New Hampshire and Iowa on Wednesday, which will pay for the airtime of a 30-second spot that previously aired last month.

"Governor Burgum is the conservative governor and business leader our country needs to unlock the best of America," said Emily Benavides, Best of America PAC spokeswoman, in a statement. "As we look forward to Governor Burgum’s debut on the debate stage later this month, we're making sure New Hampshire and Iowa know that he will turn around our economy, unleash American energy, and rebuild our military so we can win the Cold War with China."
In the ad, Burgum claims that "We all know that Joe Biden isn’t getting the job done, and too often is making things worse" before a narrator touts the governor's credentials.
"Conservative business leader Doug Burgum," the narrator said. "Raised with small-town values, Burgum built a billion-dollar company, creating thousands of jobs. As governor of North Dakota, he cut taxes, balanced the budget, and helped pass term limits."

"If you believe that the economy, energy, and national security are critical to our nation’s future, remember, that’s why I’m running for president," Burgum concludes the ad.
Burgum is mounting a long-shot bid for the Republican presidential nomination. His campaign announced last month that he met the requirements to participate in the Republican National Committee's presidential primary debate on Aug. 23. Yet according to national polls, Burgum polls hover around 1%, far below former President Donald Trump, the current front-runner.
