NextImg:Donald Trump to speak at Mar-a-Lago on Tuesday after arraignment

Former President Donald Trump's campaign announced Sunday that he will be speaking at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, Florida, on Tuesday evening.

The speech is scheduled for 8:15 p.m. and will come hours after he is arraigned in a Manhattan court on charges related to an alleged hush money payment in 2016.

DONALD TRUMP INDICTED: LEGAL TEAM WILL NOT MOTION FOR DISMISSAL AT ARRAIGNMENT, LAWYER SAYS

Trump will likely discuss the indictment, which remains sealed until he appears for arraignment in the Empire State. While in New York, the former president will be fingerprinted and have a mug shot taken, as is typical for indictments.

Joe Tacopina, a lawyer for the former president, has said they will not file a motion to dismiss the case at the arraignment, saying it would be "showmanship" considering Trump's legal team has not had time to examine the charges since they are still under seal.

The former president has attacked the indictment since it was announced on Thursday, saying it was an unprecedented attack on the country, in a lengthy Truth social post that day.

"These Thugs and Radical Left Monsters have just [INDICTED] the 45th President of the United States of America, and the leading Republican Candidate, by far, for the 2024 Nomination for President. THIS IS AN ATTACK ON OUR COUNTRY THE LIKES OF WHICH HAS NEVER BEEN SEEN BEFORE. IT IS LIKEWISE A CONTINUING ATTACK ON OUR ONCE FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS. THE USA IS NOW A THIRD WORLD NATION, A NATION IN SERIOUS DECLINE. SO SAD!" Trump posted on Thursday.

The indictment came after prosecutors in Manhattan had been investigating allegedly falsified business records regarding a $130,000 reimbursement of Trump's then-lawyer Michael Cohen for paying off porn star Stormy Daniels to stay quiet about an alleged affair she had with Trump.

Trump became the first former president to be criminally indicted on Thursday, which comes as he is running for the GOP nomination for president in the 2024 election.
