The Fulton County Sheriff's Office is investigating threats to members of the grand jury that indicted former President Donald Trump this week.

The office said in a press release on Wednesday that it is aware of grand jurors' personal information, such as names and addresses, being circulated across "various platforms."

TRUMP'S 'MOST DANGEROUS CASE IN GEORGIA COULD ALSO BE THE LONGEST DELAYED

The county's sheriff's office is working closely with local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies to determine the "origin of threats" in Fulton County and other jurisdictions.

"We take this matter very seriously and are coordinating with our law enforcement partners to respond quickly to any credible threat and to ensure the safety of those individuals who carried out their civic duty," the sheriff's office said in the release via Reuters and NBC News.

The jurors voted to indict Trump on Monday after a yearlong investigation by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis. Of the 41-count indictment, the former president faces 13 charges, including violating the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act and conspiring to use fake electors to overturn the 2020 election results in Georgia.

The indictment has spurned outrage among Republicans and conservative allies, as well as Trump himself, who has taken to social media to condemn Willis as a "radical Democrat" and her case as "politically inspired" to interfere with his lead in the 2024 GOP primary race.

The assumed addresses and names of the grand jurors were circulated on social media, along with photographs and a list of all of the members of the grand jury. Some posts have blasted the jurors for being biased against Trump.

The release of someone's name and address, as well as other identifiable and personal information, on social media can be considered doxxing. It is usually done with malicious intent. Doxxing is not considered illegal if the information is publicly available and posting is done through legal means. However, it can cross the line into stalking and harassment.

Willis and other county commissioners received racist threats before the indictment, as well, resulting in additional security measures. Trump has leveled attacks against other judges or prosecutors involved in his three other criminal cases.
