Former President Donald Trump called for the impeachment of New York Attorney General Letitia James on Wednesday, claiming she is a "dirty cop" who drastically underreported the value of his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida.
Trump claimed his Florida resort is actually worth as much as "100 times" the $18 million value she placed on Mar-a-Lago and moved to dismiss the lawsuit brought by the state of New York. Trump's trial in the state just finished its third day, and it accuses Trump and his organization of deceiving banks and insurers by providing financial statements that exaggerated his wealth.
IF RFK JR. GOES INDEPENDENT, DOES THAT HELP BIDEN OR TRUMP?
"This is yet another Witch Hunt for purposes of Election Interference," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. "Letitia is a Dirty Cop who is driving business out of New York in record numbers. She should be impeached for falsification of documents, Mar-a-Lago value being a prime example."
Trump also claimed that the "smallest" house in Palm Beach, where his resort resides, is worth $50 million, and his is among the biggest.
James had already responded to previous attacks by the former president, claiming she would not be "bullied" by Trump and that "justice" would be served.
“I will not be bullied,” James told reporters outside the state Supreme Court courtroom. “Mr. Trump is no longer here. The Donald Trump show is over. This was nothing more than a political stunt, a fundraising stop.
"What they were, were comments that unfortunately fomented violence. Comments that I would describe as race-baiting."

The exchange comes on the third day of one of Trump's four high-profile court cases that were filed this year, ahead of the 2024 election season. Trump faces a total of 91 charges across the four cases, two of which are criminal.
James is currently seeking $250 million and additional penalties for Trump's alleged over-inflation of his asset values. The trial, which started Monday, is expected to last up to three months.
