


The White House maintained its silence regarding the indictment of former President Donald Trump, declining to offer any new comment Tuesday afternoon.
Trump arrived for his federal court date in Miami just before Tuesday's White House press briefing began. The former president is facing 37 counts on seven charges relating to his alleged mishandling of classified information and attempts to obstruct the Justice Department's investigation into the matter.

The Biden administration has repeatedly declined to comment on Trump's indictment, and White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre continued that trend during the briefing, where she faced numerous questions on the subject.
Jean-Pierre referred multiple inquiries regarding Trump to the Justice Department, all while defending the "integrity" of the body. Jean-Pierre was additionally asked for the first time Tuesday if there was "any world in which President Biden would consider pardoning the former president?"
"I'm just not going to speak to that," Jean-Pierre responded. "No comment."
