Donald Trump Jr. said Friday that former President Donald Trump is “somber” but resolved to keep fighting after he was found guilty on 34 counts of falsifying business records.
“I spoke with him last night, obviously right after the verdict,” Trump Jr. said Friday in a Newsmax interview. “Somber … but his resolve is so strong to keep fighting to prevent these political persecutions from happening in our country. … He’s just going to keep going.”
The 45th president is one of the “toughest” people in the world, and he knew full well the types of consequences he would face when he entered the political arena nearly a decade ago, according to the former president’s son.
“That was when he looked me in the eyes going down the elevator before … let’s call it the infamous escalator ride, and he said, ‘Now we find out who our real friends are,'” Trump Jr. said. “He understood what would happen. He understood what would happen in 2020 when he decided to run again and after 2020.”
All the “nonsense” and “miscarriages of justice” the country has witnessed through what many are calling a political prosecution led by President Joe Biden to destroy his political opposition have woken them up to the truth, Trump Jr. said.

“I think it’s only awakened the American people to how broken our system and how rigged our system has become,” he said.
“His resolve is only increasing, which is amazing to see, and I don’t think there’s many people who could handle the kind of pressure that he’s going through right now, and he’s doing it great,” the younger Trump said.
