NextImg:DNC ad compares Trump's promises and Biden's presidential record

The Democratic National Committee is promoting an ad that compares President Joe Biden’s political record, and that of former President Donald Trump’s talking points and campaign promises.

“Donald Trump left office with the worst jobs record of any president in modern American history, failed the American people time and time again, turned ‘infrastructure week’ into a joke, and created new incentives for companies to ship jobs overseas while shilling for big corporations and handing tax breaks out to the ultra-wealthy,” DNC Chair Jaime Harrison said in a statement.

The new counter-programming ad released Saturday, while Trump campaigned in Pennsylvania, pulls from Trump and Biden speeches over the years, regarding similar topics.

“I will be the greatest jobs president that God ever created,” Trump said in 2015 to a crowd in front of Trump Tower.

The DNC clipped in a video from Biden, where he called Trump’s promise a failure, while Biden delivered results.

“We created 13.4 million new jobs, more jobs in two years than any president has ever created in four,” Biden said this earlier this year, claiming his economic plan, dubbed Bidenomics, has produced the highest economic growth rate.

The ad played multiple clips of Trump’s pledges over the years, followed by a buzzer noise and Biden’s most recent accomplishments.

“My administration is working every day to deliver the world class infrastructure,” Trump said during a 2017 conference on infrastructure.

“We also passed the once in a generation investments on our nation's roads, highways, bridges,” Biden said about the bipartisan Infrastructure Deal, signed in 2021.

The ad, running just under one minute, paints Trump as a failed leader while highlighting Biden’s economic policies—recently touted by the president and Vice President Kamala Harris.

“As Trump takes his lies to Pennsylvania and across the country, the DNC will constantly remind voters of the stark differences between Trump’s abysmal economic agenda and the numerous accomplishments President Biden has delivered for working families,” Harrison said, referring to Trump’s campaign rally in Erie Saturday evening.
