“There’s no way we’re hiring a white male for this role.”
That’s how hiring executives inside Disney openly speak, according to a new undercover investigation from James O’Keefe. The conservative activist’s organization, O’Keefe Media Group, just published an explosive video featuring secretly recorded conversations with a senior vice president and team lead at the Walt Disney Company, Michael Giordano.
Not knowing his words were being caught on camera, Giordano candidly confessed that Disney openly discriminates against white men in hiring decisions.
“I have friends in HR and I have friends in other divisions,” he explained. “And they’re like, ‘Look, nobody else is going to tell you this, Mike, but they’re not considering any white males for the job.’ As far as Disney is concerned, I am a white male, and that’s not who they’re looking to promote at the moment.”
It’s not just white men who suffer under this alleged atmosphere of identitarian insanity inside Disney, but also actual racial minorities who don’t look diverse enough.
“We wanted to hire somebody in the department … who was half black but didn’t, like, appear half black, and there was a creative executive who was like, ‘We’re not, like, that’s not, that’s not what’s wanted,’” Giordano recounted. “They wanted somebody in meetings who would appear a certain way, and he wasn’t gonna bring that to the meeting.”
Yikes!
It should go without saying that this kind of open racial- and sex-based discrimination is immoral, no matter what group it is targeting. Everyone should have an equal chance at employment regardless of background if he or she is the best person for the job, and no one should be held back from success simply because of immutable characteristics that person can’t control. That’s flat-out wrong, even if an employer does it in the name of “social justice” or something.
It’s also almost certainly illegal. Federal civil rights law explicitly prohibits employers from discriminating in employment based on race and sex, and it contains no exception for doing so in the name of “diversity.”
If this were just happening inside one company, even a major corporation such as Disney, that would still hardly be the end of the world. Yet, unfortunately, this kind of “reverse discrimination” may no longer be a rare phenomenon.
A 2022 ResumeBuilder survey of 1,000 hiring managers found that 52% think their companies practice “reverse discrimination.” An astounding 1 in 6 say they have been told to “deprioritize” hiring white men, and 48% say they’ve been asked to prioritize diversity over qualifications.
This is not progress.

It’s not just immoral and illegal. It’s also demeaning, insulting, and tokenizing to the minority candidates it’s supposed to help. (Remember the guy who didn’t “look black enough” at Disney?) It takes away from the accomplishments of those many minority employees who truly are the best at what they do. And rather than bring us closer to racial harmony, these kinds of divisive practices reinforce the divide between racial groups and fuel resentment.
So, this story is more than just an embarrassment for one “woke” company. It’s a disturbing example of a much broader trend that is jeopardizing the future of racial harmony and pluralism in America.
