DirecTV will resume Newsmax programming after a dispute last year.
Last year, DirecTV dropped Newsmax from its channel lineup. It further replaced the conservative-leaning news channel with a new outlet called The First.

The First features hosts such as Dana Loesch and Bill O'Reilly, among others.
On Wednesday, both DirecTV and Newsmax announced that they had finalized a renewal.
The channel will return to DirecTV, DirecTV Stream, and U-verse on Thursday.

"Through our persistent negotiations, we reached a resolution under mutually-agreeable business terms allowing us to deliver the conservative news network at the right value — a reflection of the free market at work."
