Gov. Ron DeSantis's (R-FL) announcement of his run for president went off with a glitch as his planned announcement for the 2024 election on a Twitter Space frequently crashed before having to be moved to a new space.
The Florida governor had intended to announce his presidential run in a Twitter Space with current Twitter CEO Elon Musk, but the Twitter Space the two were hosting kept crashing. As a result, the term "DeSaster" started to trend on the social media platform.
