Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) will return to Iowa to attend a fundraiser for Rep. Randy Feenstra (R-IA) as he gears up for a presidential run.
Both DeSantis and his wife, Casey, will be special guests at the "Feenstra Family Picnic" hosted by the lawmaker on May 13. Last month, DeSantis swung through the Hawkeye State and met with Gov. Kim Reynolds (R-IA) while promoting his new book.

"In Iowa, like Florida, freedom is valued, parents’ rights are protected, and faith comes first," DeSantis told Fox News. "Congressman Feenstra is a strong conservative with a record of delivering results, and I’m happy to support him."
The fundraiser will take place in the Sioux Center and cost about $50 for admittance for those over 18, according to the outlet. Feenstra was first elected to the House in 2020. DeSantis served in the lower chamber from 2013 to 2018, so their tenures didn't overlap.
So far, DeSantis has amassed preemptive endorsements from two active members of Congress: Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Chip Roy (R-TX). He has slowly begun courting politicos in early primary states. Notably, Reynolds has vowed to stay neutral in the primary.
Feenstra has not endorsed DeSantis either but lavished praise on the governor for his stewardship of the Sunshine State.
"While liberal states shut down their economies, forced businesses to close, and kept our kids out of the classroom, Gov. DeSantis championed freedom and common sense. Florida — like Iowa — are clear examples of what strong conservative leadership can deliver for our country," the congressman told Fox News.
Iowa's caucuses are the leadoff in the GOP primary.
DeSantis has visited or made plans to visit states, including Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. This week, he had trips planned for Ohio and New Hampshire, where he is set to headline the 2023 Amos Tuck Dinner.
