Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) has scored two more endorsements for his potential 2024 White House bid, which he has yet to announce.

The endorsements come out of key early primary state Iowa, which already-announced 2024 candidate former President Donald Trump will travel to on Saturday for a rally in Des Moines.

Iowa Senate President Amy Sinclair and House Majority Leader Matt Windschitl, two high-profile Iowa Republicans, endorsed the Florida Republican on Thursday, according to the Des Moines Register.

According to Sinclair, DeSantis is “head and shoulders” above any Republican primary challengers, noting that “it’s an easy endorsement for me.”

She explained that he has transformed his values into action in his state of Florida. "He's proven that he can do this work," she said. "He's proven that he can get reelected and can continue to do that work even in the face of opposition. And I can't think of a better person to serve as our president and really, honestly move America forward."

Windschitl said: “We need a leader that's looking forward towards the future, not a leader that's looking in the rearview mirror and potentially going to be vindictive towards other people,” presumably referring to Trump.

“We need somebody that's accountable to the people that has proven in their state that they can do this job and take that same prosperity and spread it throughout America," he added.

While Trump's rally takes place in Des Moines, DeSantis will also be in the crucial primary state.

He will first headline Rep. Randy Feenstra’s (R-IA) annual Feenstra Family Picnic fundraiser.

Later, DeSantis will participate in a conversation with Iowa GOP Chairman Jeff Kaufmann at a reception at the Hotel at Kirkwood Center in Cedar Rapids. Tickets for the event cost $100 per person or $175 per couple.

So far, DeSantis boasts four congressional endorsements from Reps. Chip Roy (R-TX), Thomas Massie (R-KY), Laurel Lee (R-FL), and Bob Good (R-VA).

Last week, he was similarly endorsed by Republican House Majority Leader in New Hampshire Jason Osborne. New Hampshire is notably another key early primary state.
