EXCLUSIVE — Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) launched a new TV ad as he makes his closing pitch to Iowa voters ahead of the state's Jan. 15, 2024, caucuses.

Titled "Defeat the Elites," the 30-second spot focuses on what's at stake if President Joe Biden stays in power and why DeSantis is the right Republican to defeat him.

FOUR TIMES NIKKI HALEY HAS HINDERED HER PRESIDENTIAL BID

The ad is part of a previously announced ad buy and will air on broadcast and cable television in the Des Moines, Cedar Rapids, and Davenport markets.

“The campaign has been monitoring media buys from outside allies and is accordingly adjusting all its resources to now focus on three key markets in Iowa through caucus night," a senior campaign official said.

The ad focuses specifically on DeSantis's well-documented battles with Dr. Anthony Fauci, former chief medical adviser to Biden, and teachers unions during the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as his firing of George Soros-backed prosecutors as governor of Florida.

"And as your president, he will not let you down," DeSantis says at the end of the ad.
