The FBI announced the arrest of 205 people allegedly involved in child sexual exploitation. One hundred and fifteen children were rescued as part of the operation.
At a Wednesday press conference, Attorney General Pam Bondi and FBI Director Kash Patel announced the results of Operation Restore Justice, a “historic, unprecedented, nationwide operation” to crack down on child sex predators. According to Bondi, the operation took place across five days as part of a joint effort between Department of Justice prosecutors and the FBI.

The attorney general said the alleged predators were operating online. Some could face the maximum penalty of life in prison.
“The Department of Justice will never stop fighting to protect victims—especially child victims—and we will not rest until we hunt down, arrest, and prosecute every child predator who preys on the most vulnerable among us,” she said in a statement. “I am grateful to the FBI and their state and local partners for their incredible work in Operation Restore Justice and have directed my prosecutors not to negotiate.”
“Every child deserves to grow up free from fear and exploitation, and the FBI will continue to be relentless in our pursuit of those who exploit the most vulnerable among us,” Patel said in a statement. “Operation Restore Justice proves that no predator is out of reach, and no child will be forgotten. By leveraging the strength of all our field offices and our federal, state, and local partners, we’re sending a clear message: there is no place to hide for those who prey on children.”
At the press conference, the FBI director touted the ability of U.S. law enforcement to track down child predators: “If you harm our children, you will be given no sanctuary,” he said. “There is no place we will not come to hunt you down. There is no place we will not look for you. And there is no cage we will not put you in should you do harm to our children.”
