NextImg:Department of Labor refers to women as ‘menstruators’ - Washington Examiner

Generations from now, people will look back at the infantilization of American society in the 21st century and laugh. If they’re lucky enough, one of the things people in the future will hopefully get to read is a blog by the Department of Labor about “Menstrual Hygiene Day.” And if the silliness of the existence of something called “Menstrual Hygiene Day” wasn’t bad enough, the authors referred to those who menstruate, otherwise known as “women” to every other part of the normal and civilized universe, as “menstruators.”

Menstruation affects half the U.S. workforce but talking about it at work can be taboo,” a post by the Department of Labor on X read. “For #MenstrualHygieneDay, here are 5 easy actions employers can take to help menstruators thrive at work.”

This post promoted a blog by the Department of Labor highlighting women’s menstruation challenges. Yet, interestingly enough, while it focused on menstruation and offered suggestions of what corporations could do to help alleviate these difficulties, the authors never once used the words “woman” or “women” to describe those who actually menstruate.

“Menstruators,” “menstruating employees,” and a reference to menstruation as a “natural part of half our population’s life” were the only phrases used in the entire article. The only time “women” was used was in a titular role to promote the “Women’s Bureau” as being responsible for the blog post’s contents.

One suspects they did not see the irony here.

Admittedly, I find the need for something called “Menstrual Hygiene Day” doltish. Nevertheless, while I find it silly, I don’t care one way or the other about its existence. The problem I have and that everyone should have is using the term “menstruators” in place of “women.” Women are the only human beings who can menstruate. Everyone knows this. To pretend or suggest otherwise is blasphemy.

While I guess “menstruators” could technically be used to differentiate between women who menstruate and those who do not, it did not feel that was the impetus for using “menstruators” in place of “women.” After researching the matter, my suspicions were confirmed. “Menstruators” is part of the Left’s ploy to alter the norms and culture radically so these things will align with left-wing values in the future.

Consider the contents of a book on “menstruation studies,” which the National Institutes of Health published on its website, a chapter titled “Degendering Menstruation: Making Trans Menstruators Matter.” It provides insight into why the Department of Labor excluded women when discussing menstruation. Sadly, this chapter is indicative of just how maniacal the attempts to replace science with extremist gender ideology have become.

Klara Rydstrom, the book’s author, sought to “critically explore the nature of menstruation, which many perceive to be a strictly female bodily function despite many scholars’ recognition that menstruators are of various gender identities.” Rydstrom also declared that “not all who menstruate are women.”

It is fictitious dogma meant to appease a radicalized mob. Rydstrom hijacked, convoluted, and manipulated information to align it with sociopolitical values under the guise of scientific research and study.

First was the attempt to normalize the word “birthing persons” in place of mothers to include women who want to transition to men. Now, that fanaticism has evolved into adding the word “menstruators” to this unhinged lexicon.

The weaponization of radical gender ideology is arguably one of this country’s most significant political threats. It is not based on any science or scholarly work. It’s junk science predicated on opinions and molded by emotions, mindsets, and feelings. It is nothing more than political propaganda similar to what the Soviets did in Russia in the early 20th century and what Maoists did in China in the second half of the 20th century.

The Department of Labor is a disgrace. It has weaponized biology to advance political agendas, recreate culture, and redefine language. In just a few short years, radical left-wing gender extremists have tried to replace women in society by trying to change the language.

Any scholar who believes what Rydstrom wrote should have his or her credentials revoked. It’s fiction — as authentic as the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, and Santa Claus. It’s political propaganda and an attack on culture. It’s an egregious attempt to destroy society’s norms and recreate a socialist and communist utopia. It is modern-day Lysenkoism, and it must be resisted and rejected in the strongest possible ways.
