Hunter Biden is constantly being discussed in conservative circles. Whether it be allegations of corruption, stories of far-from-mysterious cocaine in the White House, or children no one wants to acknowledge, we apparently just can’t stop talking about 53-year-old Hunter Biden.
Not only are we supposedly incapable of moving on from poor, innocent Hunter (according to legacy media), our complaints of his ongoing relationship with President Joe Biden are deemed irrelevant, with this label of irrelevance applied to anyone who dares to speak out against the regime.
SUPREME COURT MUST SAVE WEST COAST FROM 9TH CIRCUIT'S HOMELESS INSANITY
This applies even to New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, who recently slammed Joe Biden for refusing to acknowledge his illegitimate grandchild, the product of an affair between Hunter Biden and a then-stripper, in a column titled, “It’s Seven Grandkids, Mr. President.”
Now, The New York Times is hardly known for being a conservative propaganda outlet, yet this didn’t stop the hosts of The View from going on the defense for their chosen false prophet, Joe Biden.

"It's very hard for Joe Biden to be a grandfather to the child if his son is not being a father." - Navarro

“It’s not [Joe Biden’s] baby,” announced Whoopie Goldberg, while Ana Navarro argued that “it’s very hard for Joe Biden to be a grandfather to the child if his son is not being a father."
Navarro later added that this is simply another example of “the right-wing” deciding to “weaponize” Hunter Biden.
First off, I was promised by none other than Joe Biden and his entire administration and media apparatus that under his leadership, virtues such as dignity and respect were returning to the White House. He’s the one who sold us this lie; it’s not an act of right-wing weaponization to point this out.
However, there’s a deeper and more dangerous layer here, and it surrounds the issue of “whataboutism.” Whataboutism is a rhetorical trick used to deflect criticism with counter-criticism, and it’s used breathlessly in the debauched world of politics.
A Democrat did what?! Yes, but did you hear what this Republican did?
Yeah, a Republican did that, but that’s nowhere near as bad as what this Democrat did!
In the context of Hunter Biden, he is not only being criticized as an individual but as an integral part of what many are describing as the Biden crime family. His various business dealings and alleged profiteering on (and for) the Biden name are the style of illegal political corruption that should turn the stomach of any American citizen, regardless of political affiliation.
And in this context, the response becomes: Why should we care about Republican criticism of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden when allegations of corruption swirl around former President Donald Trump and his children? To which the answer is obvious: We should care about corruption.

But we’ve been fooled into holding these politicians to a completely different standard. More specifically, the lowest standard possible. Today, the only standard of behavior we expect of our politicians is to behave just as badly as the perception of our enemy. Under this system, we have no standards at all. Neither side is held to account, and neither side has any incentive to follow the law.
We remain locked in partisan whataboutism. Meanwhile, the Bidens keep making money.
