NextImg:Democrat blames Fox News for Baltimore's failing schools

Earlier this month, Maryland standardized testing results revealed that only 7% of its students were proficient in mathematics, including 23 schools with zero students meeting the state's minimum academic requirements. Those substandard schools included eight elementary schools, two elementary/middle schools, three middle/high schools, and 10 high schools. The reason for these horrific results? Fox News, according to one Baltimore Democrat.

Del. Sandy Rosenberg blasted the report of the schools' failures. At a time when 2,200 students in the city's schools can do basic math and perform at grade level, Rosenberg blamed the television network when asked about the test scores by Mikenzie Frost.

BIDEN'S DEI DEBACLE

"Your boss and the distorted coverage you provide," Rosenberg replied, rather aggressively, when Frost asked him who he held accountable for the disastrous test results.

He also told Frost he wouldn't respond to any emails about the results because he said the network only broadcasts negative stories about the school system. Rosenberg said he would only respond when "you do a story about students who are succeeding in City Schools. You never do."

Rosenberg is way out of line with his blame and response. The aggressive manner in which he replied to Frost aside, blaming a television network's report of statewide test scores is ridiculous. This is especially true given the previously mentioned zero-student total of the 23 schools. Rosenberg's hostility is indicative of everything wrong with Democrats when it comes to education.

Democrats such as Rosenberg don't care about students' futures. All they care about is how the public perceives them. Baltimore City's schools should be unacceptable, and the failures have nothing to do with Fox 45. Instead, they have everything to do with the city's school board and politicians responsible for education. Democrats repeatedly keep failing inner-city students and don't want to do anything about it. Rosenberg's actions are a prime example of this.

Rosenberg's behavior, refusal to admit failure, and promise to do anything is a serious problem. If he cared, he would recognize these systemic failures and promise a way to resolve the problem. Instead, he demonstrated he lacks any class, honor, or integrity. Moreover, it showed that Rosenberg has the same amount of interest in helping Baltimore City's schools as the number of students who were proficient in math in 23 of the city's schools: zero.
