NextImg:Danica Patrick stuns Tucker Carlson with insight on media manipulation and Trump - Washington Examiner

Former professional racing superstar Danica Patrick appeared to stun Tucker Carlson over the weekend when she declared society has entered a new age in which personal intuition seems to be overtaking traditional trust in media.

“We are living in a world where we don’t know what to trust anymore,” Patrick told Carlson on Sunday’s episode of the Tucker Carlson Encounter. “You could watch a documentary, and you were like, ‘Oh, my God! That’s true!’ Now, you got to look at who paid for it.”

People are waking up to the lies and manipulation of traditional media, according to Patrick.

“The news, as you well know, what’s true, what’s not?” she asked Carlson. “You got in trouble for telling the truth. You don’t know what you can trust, and I think we’re entering this age where we have to trust our intuition.”

There is a new need to rely on critical thinking, she added.

“We can’t just be told,” according to Patrick. “We need to stop with this read-and-repeat lifestyle.”

Carlson welcomed this notion but questioned how an age of self-reliance is possible when bodies like the United States government are becoming more demanding that citizens “read the script.”

“They’re in power,” Patrick said. “It’s much easier if you control the narrative for everything. It’s like schoolbooks, like, I question school and the efficacy of what’s in the schoolbooks. The winners write the stories and also the propaganda of the whole operation of it.”

Politics are foundational to everyone’s lives, and a shake-up of societal foundations is what has led to the Left’s triggering when it comes to former President Donald Trump, Patrick argued.

“There are foundational things to our life, politics, religion,” she said. “These are foundational to our reality and what we’ve built our life on.”

“When you pull one of those out from the foundation, this is my opinion, but I think that what happens is there is an implied subconscious understanding that when you pull out one of those building blocks that it’s gonna be a snowball effect for the rest of your life,” she added.

When a foundational belief is disrupted or removed, it leads one to question everything, Patrick said.

“What else isn’t true,” she said. “What else about your life isn’t gonna work anymore, and that is a global life change to pull something foundational out.”

Carlson appeared shocked by the revelation.

“I didn’t expect you to be the smartest professional athlete,” he said. “That is a very wise point.”
