Buffalo Bills football player Damar Hamlin returned to Paycor Stadium on Sunday, the same stadium where he suffered a near fatal cardiac arrest earlier this year.
Hamlin took almost 15 minutes crouching on the field alone after the game between the Bills and the Cincinnati Bengals, 10 months after Hamlin collapsed midgame. Though Hamlin's team lost Sunday's game with a score of 24-18, his time on the field after the game meant "everything" to him, he wrote on social media.

Hamlin's injury on Jan. 2 came as a shock to the world of sports, which left him hospitalized in critical condition from cardiac arrest, a condition in which the heart stops beating suddenly. Amid his recovery, fans of both the Bills and the Bengals gathered outside of Hamlin's hospital in solidarity with the injured player.
Hamlin was later released from the hospital on Jan. 11, and he was reunited with his team a few days later.
