The Bud Light boycott has seemingly reached a new milestone after Costco appeared to halt plans to restock the beer.
The grocery center appeared to have given the beer its "death star," which is an asterisk placed next to the price of a product. When products receive this asterisk, it signifies that Costco will not restock an item once the item is sold out, according to Independent Journal Review.

Costco's apparent decision not to restock Bud Light comes after the beer experienced major backlash over its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, a biological man who identifies as a woman. Earlier this year, the brand sent the influencer a beer can featuring Mulvaney's face to mark a full year of "girlhood," leading conservatives to urge the public to boycott the brand.
Since then, Bud Light sales have fallen sharply, even to the point of hurting other brands in the portfolio of Anheuser-Busch.
The beer brand, owned by Anheuser-Busch, went dark on Twitter after April 14, when a tweet reading "TGIF" was met with upset online. In June, Bud Light wrote on Twitter for the first time since it was forced to address the Mulvaney controversy.

The attempt to return to Twitter has not been received well by other users on the platform, who have mocked the company for its failed campaign.
