Costco customers in New York have 10 days to submit a claim to receive money from a class-action lawsuit settlement if they purchased Kirkland Signature Moist Flushable Wipes between 2011 and 2017.
The lawsuit claims that Costco falsely advertised the wipes as flushable when they were not, that they damaged pipes and septic systems, and caused other plumbing problems for customers.
“Consumers argue they would not have purchased the wipes if they knew they were not truly flushable as advertised,” according to Top Class Actions.
The wholesale company admitted no wrongdoing but agreed to pay out $2 million.
