Rep. Cory Mills‘s (R-FL) former girlfriend accused him of threatening to release sexually explicit photos of her, according to a police report.
Lindsey Langston, a Miss United States pageant winner and Florida GOP committeewoman for Columbia County who was elected in 2024, detailed her story to the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on July 14 in a report obtained by the Washington Examiner.

Mills allegedly threatened to share the photos, which include nude images and videos of Langston as well as videos of the couple “engaging in sexual acts,” after Langston separated from him. Langston also told law enforcement that Mills threatened to harm other men in her life after she told him she wanted to end their relationship.
The criminal investigation regarding Langston has since been forwarded to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for further review, a CCSO spokesperson told the Washington Examiner. The Washington Examiner contacted the FDLE for comment, but did not receive a response.
The report also says Mills’s final communication with Langston was on June 12, when he said he hoped Langston would hold her “crown until the end.” He did not specify what “the end” meant.
Mills told the Washington Examiner in a statement that Langston’s allegations were pioneered by her attorney, Anthony Sabatini, a Lake County commissioner who came second in the 2022 GOP primary for his district. Mills also denied that law enforcement had reached out to him.
“Anthony Sabatini is weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack against the man who beat him in the primary, using his corporate legal office to push a narrative built on lies and flawed legal arguments — all to score political headlines,” Mills said. “We have not been made aware of any report or allegations from law enforcement or the alleged complainant.”
Mills said he would not comment further but agreed to “cooperate to ensure the truth is made clear.”
“These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District,” he said. “I appreciate your understanding as we deal with this private matter and your support during this time.”
Sabatini told the Washington Examiner that Langston filed a restraining order against Mills. He previously told the Washington Examiner that Mills’s situation is “far, far, far worse” than former Republican New York Rep. George Santos’s controversies. Santos was imprisoned after being expelled from the House.
“George exaggerated a couple of things,” Sabatini said. “George never committed stolen valor and lied about having a fake military record. That never happened. George Santos never converted to Islam and was also anointed as a Muslim by a major affiliate of terrorist groups, as Mills was in Virginia.”
Sabatini shared correspondence between Mills and Langston, in which she told him to “leave me alone,” and Mills said he would send “videos” of her to her romantic partners. Sabatini said Langston contacted him for legal advice, but he did not know Mills was involved. Sabatini said the FDLE’s investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Sabatini also said he would not run against Mills again in 2026, opting to run for reelection as a Lake County commissioner in 2028. Mills has represented a portion of north central Florida since 2023.
It’s unclear how House leadership will handle the incident, as the Florida GOP can only pull its support and fundraising to discipline Mills. The congressman has not been charged with any crimes yet.

If the allegations against Mills are true, he would be in violation of the Take It Down Act, a bill restricting nonconsensual publication of intimate depictions. Mills voted for the bill in April, and President Donald Trump signed it into law in May.
Langston’s allegations against Mills come after several other notable incidents. In February, police were called to Mills’s Washington, D.C., home after reports that he assaulted his girlfriend, Sarah Raviani. There were no charges, and both Mills and Raviani denied the incident. Mills is also under investigation by the House Ethics Committee for financial violations, faced eviction from his Washington, D.C., apartment in July, and has long been accused of stolen valor.
The Washington Examiner reached out to the Florida GOP for comment but did not receive a response.
