Peter Schweizer, president of the Government Accountability Institute, has examined the money trail between Chinese-controlled companies and the Biden family. He literally wrote the book on these dealings. In a weekend interview with Fox News, Schweizer provided several breathtaking new details and added some context to IRS Criminal Supervisory Special Agent Gary Shapley Jr.’s explosive testimony released last Thursday by the House Ways and Means Committee.
As you recall, Shapley, who ran the IRS investigation into Hunter Biden’s tax evasion case, shared Biden’s July 30, 2017, WhatsApp message to Henry Zhao, the president and CEO of Harvest Capital Management and a Chinese Communist Party official, in a recent whistleblower report. The message read: "I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. Tell the director that I would like to resolve this now before it gets out of hand, and now means tonight. And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang, or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction. I am sitting here waiting for the call with my father."
BIDEN TRIES TO SHAKE LOW MARKS ON ECONOMY WITH ‘BIDENOMICS’ PUSHAs the talking heads on liberal cable news shows discredited the veracity of Shapley’s testimony, Fox News reported on Friday that, lo and behold, just days after the threatening message was sent, a total of $5.1 million flowed into accounts linked to Hunter Biden.
The article cited a September 2020 report by the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and Finance committees that read: “On Aug. 4, 2017, Chinese firm CEFC Infrastructure Investment wired $100,000 to Hunter Biden’s law firm Owasco. … Then, days later on Aug. 8, 2017, CEFC Infrastructure Investment sent $5 million to Hudson West III, a firm Hunter Biden opened with Chinese associates.”
Moreover, “Beginning on Aug. 14, 2017, Hunter Biden initiated a string of 20 wire transactions from Owasco to Lion Hall Group, a consulting firm linked to President Biden’s brother James Biden and his wife Sara. The transactions continued through Aug. 3, 2018, and totaled $1.4 million.”
Schweizer told Fox this wasn’t the first time Hunter Biden had done business with Zhao. He said that in 2015, Zhao had “sent $5 million to the Bidens.” There goes the excuse that this activity occurred after Biden had left office. It also begs the question of what the Bidens had done to earn the money.
Additionally, Schweizer questioned how Joe Biden might have communicated with Hunter Biden and his business partners during his vice presidency. He noted, “It's not the government phone, it's not Joe Biden's personal phone. We know from the laptop that Hunter Biden's business paid for a private phone line that Joe Biden used while he was vice president. It was from AT&T, it was $300 a month, it was a global phone where you could access somebody anywhere around the world.”
He said he shared this information with members of the House Oversight Committee. “My hope is that if they haven't already, they will subpoena those records because I think it will give an indication on how tight the communication was.”
Schweizer also wondered if Biden used this phone for the two calls he allegedly had with the Burisma executive he’s accused of bribing. According to an FD-1023 form, the Burisma executive, widely reported to be Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky, told the FBI’s confidential human source he had recorded 15 conversations with Hunter Biden and two with “the big guy.”
Finally, Schweizer said we need to focus on the “espionage element.” He explained that “Henry Zhao paid $5 million to Hunter Biden from an account that was part of a company that he co-owned with the family of the Minister of State Security of China, who's in charge of the entire spy apparatus. And you see that in every deal that Hunter Biden did in China. These individuals that are sending him money have ties to Chinese intelligence.”
So, a CCP-tied company sent the Biden family $5 million during Joe Biden's vice presidency for no discernible services. And days after Hunter Biden sent a shakedown message to the company's owner, another $5.1 million flowed into Biden-linked accounts. And now, a week after learning that the Burisma executive who allegedly told an FBI confidential human source he’d paid $5 million each to Joe Biden and Hunter Biden for influence, and that he possessed two recordings of phone calls with Joe Biden, and 15 recordings of calls with Hunter Biden, it’s revealed that Hunter Biden provided his father with a private global "burner" phone — because everyone needs three cellphones.
Joe Biden is clearly a compromised president. Still, the rabidly partisan Attorney General Merrick Garland refuses to appoint a special counsel to investigate, and Democrats continue to look the other way. Perhaps no one captured the establishment’s nonchalant attitude better than New York Times writer Nicholas Kristof, who took the story to a whole new level in a weekend op-ed titled “The Real Meaning of the Hunter Biden Saga.” As Kristof sees it, it “isn't about presidential corruption, but is about how widespread addiction is — and about how a determined parent with unconditional love can sometimes reel a child back.”
Actually, Mr. Kristof, it's all about presidential corruption. Is the public ready to open its eyes yet?
