NextImg:Comer and Raskin to view additional documents relating to alleged Biden bribery scandal

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) and ranking member Jamie Raskin (D-MD) will view two more documents related to the alleged bribery scandal between Hunter Biden, then-Vice President Joe Biden, and a Ukrainian energy executive on Tuesday afternoon.

The two documents were mentioned in the footnotes of the unverified FBI-generated FD-1023 document members of the Oversight Committee were allowed to view earlier this month.

A spokesperson for Comer confirmed that the two heads of the Oversight Committee will view the documents at 4 p.m. on Tuesday.

It is unclear what is in these two additional documents. According to GOP members of the Oversight Committee who viewed the FD-1023, the document includes unconfirmed information that the alleged bribery scandal was related to Joe Biden’s efforts as vice president to pressure the Ukrainian government to fire Ukrainian prosecutor Viktor Shokin. They said the FBI form indicated Ukrainian businessman and Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky allegedly told the FBI informant that he paid $5 million apiece to Hunter and then-Vice President Joe Biden to stop the corruption investigation.

The Washington Examiner previously reported that the document says the Zlochevsky referred to then Vice President Joe Biden as “the big guy” in conversations with Hunter Biden.

The two members viewing the new documents comes hours after it was reported Hunter Biden plans to plead guilty to three federal charges, including two misdemeanor tax crimes and one felony gun charge. While Hunter Biden plans to plead guilty, David Weiss, the U.S. Attorney leading the case, said the investigation into the president's son is still "ongoing."
