One of DreamWorks Pictures's cofounders, Jeffrey Katzenberg, is making sure that President Joe Biden's 2024 reelection effort will not have to consider money in its campaign decisions.

In a new interview, the Hollywood mogul brushed off criticisms of the campaign's ability to tout Biden's record, explaining that the campaign's job is "to make sure that money is not a factor — that he has all the resources to run a first-class campaign."

“For us, this is about a 19-month marathon, it’s not a sprint,” Katzenberg, one of the Biden campaign's national co-chairs, told the Financial Times.

The report characterized the interview as "relentlessly upbeat."

According to the entertainment industry veteran, “The excitement and enthusiasm level since he’s announced, certainly from the high-end donors I’ve been in touch with, has been very, very high.”

Katzenberg further waved off concerns over the 80-year-old president's age, claiming that “the president has shown that he’s 80 years young and brings with him the wisdom and knowledge and experience that he has shown during the past two years.”

“He is fit and engaged and has a high level of energy," he said.

DreamWorks Pictures was founded in 1994 by Steven Spielberg, Katzenberg, and David Geffen.
