Two Just Stop Oil climate activists were arrested Thursday after breaking into a private airfield at London’s Stansted Airport and spray-painting two jets orange.

In a video posted by the British environmental activist group, one of the protesters can be seen cutting a hole in the airfield’s fence. The video then shows one activist spraying orange paint on two jets using a fire extinguisher before the two activists sit down together in front of the planes.

Two women were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and interference with the use or operation of national infrastructure, NBC News reported.

Just Stop Oil said that Taylor Swift’s jet was parked at the airfield, but police said Swift’s plane was not at the airport during the incident, according to NBC News. Her plane reportedly landed at the airport hours earlier.

The pop star is performing her “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” in London Friday through Sunday.

“Jennifer and Cole cut the fence into the private airfield at Stansted where @taylorswift13’s jet is parked, demanding an emergency treaty to end fossil fuels by 2030,” Just Stop Oil wrote in a post on X.

Swift has drawn criticism in the past for her use of private jets, which are estimated to emit at least 10 times more pollutants per passenger than commercial planes, according to a 2023 study by the Institute for Policy Studies.

The incident took place a day after two Just Stop Oil protesters were arrested after spraying Stonehenge with orange paint.
