Just weeks after appearing before Congress to proclaim that calling for the genocide of Jews only violates Harvard’s rules of bullying and harassment “depending on the context,” Claudine Gay has resigned as president of the university.

Despite also staring down the barrel of multiple plagiarism scandals , Gay, whose presidency is now the shortest in the university’s history, is painting herself as a victim of racism.

BIDEN LOSES GROUND WITH YOUNG VOTERS AND MINORITY VOTING GROUPS: POLL

“My deep sense of connection to Harvard and its people has made it all the more painful to witness the tensions and divisions that have riven our community in recent months, weakening the bonds of trust and reciprocity that should be our sources of strength and support in times of crisis,” Gay (presumably) wrote in an email. “Amidst all of this, it has been distressing to have doubt cast on my commitments to confronting hate and to upholding scholarly rigor — two bedrock values that are fundamental to who I am — and frightening to be subjected to personal attacks and threats fueled by racial animus.”

By “racial animus,” does Gay mean the explosion of anti-Jewish hatred on her own campus involving the deliberate targeting of Jewish students by pro-Hamas lunatics? No, of course not. She’s talking about herself.

And Gay is not alone. Allies rushed to her side to bang the drum of racism, including racial grifter and creator of the historically debunked 1619 Project Nikole Hannah-Jones , who wrote , “Well, they got what they wanted from their well-executed plan.”

“They”? Sounds like a dog whistle to me, no?

How To Be An Antiracist author Ibram X. Kendi wrote: "Racist mobs won’t stop until they topple all Black people from positions of power and influence who are not reinforcing the structure of racism. What these racist mobs are doing should be obvious to any reporter who cares about truth or justice as opposed to conflicts and clicks."

What we must realize is that at the heart of the insidious world of DEI , or diversity, equity, and inclusion, there is no diversity, equity, or inclusion to be found. Instead, we find the rotten cult of victimhood — a scam built on bastardizing virtuous pursuits of equality to create both tools and shields, in which crying racism is not just a last resort but a preferred strategy.

As tools of the DEI complex, figures such as Gay can climb the ladders of power. For its shields, they can hide behind blind accusations of bigotry when the predictable consequences of their actions come back to bite them.

Such tactics only apply to the true beneficiaries of intersectionality. For example, University of Pennsylvania President Elizabeth Magill resigned just days after the controversial congressional hearing. Was “racial animus” to blame? No, because Magill is white.

With the continued rise of DEI and other identity politics schemes, our society is at a crossroads.

Either we continue to pursue a truly equal society in which factors such as skin color remain irrelevant and behavior is rewarded or punished fairly, or we embrace the return of a racist society in which the undeniable wrongs of the past are roughly pasted over with wrongs of the present.

Only one of these options will stop us from regressing into racial tribalism that will either continue to weigh down our civilization like an anchor or, worse, destroy it completely.
