There are only four days left to receive a piece of Apple’s $35 million settlement. People who owned an iPhone 7 or 7 Plus at any point between Sept. 16, 2016, and Jan. 3, 2023, and experienced audio problems qualify to file a claim.

The deadline to submit this claim is June 3 via the settlement website.

Eligible people can receive compensation ranging from $50 to $349 from the company. The requirements are as follows:

By being a member of the “Settlement Class,” users are entitled to receive a minimum payout of $50. Members who paid Apple for repairs or replacements can receive up to $349, and people who reported the problem but did not pay out of pocket can receive up to $125.

The lawsuit alleges that the audio chip problems are a result of insufficient casing on the phones. It also accuses Apple of being aware of this problem while consistently refusing to offer free repairs to affected users.

In the settlement agreement, Apple denied that the devices had such problems and all allegations of wrongdoing.
