Those affected by telemarketing calls from Freedom Financial Network and other groups have through Saturday to file a claim in a $9.75 million class-action settlement with the companies.
A group of people who received the telemarketing calls filed a lawsuit, claiming the calls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Freedom Financial Network and the other defendants have denied any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the matter without litigation.

To be eligible for the settlement, records from the defendants must show that an applicant received a phone call from one of them from May 17, 2017, through April 17, 2018. The defendants in the case include Freedom Financial Network, Freedom Debt Relief, Fluent, and Lead Science.
The amount an affected person will receive from the settlement will depend on the number of people who file a claim. The estimated amount a person with a valid claim will receive ranges from $60 to $170, but it will not be finalized until the claims process has concluded.
