There are three more days for those affected by telemarketing calls to file a claim against Freedom Financial Network and other groups in a $9.75 million class-action settlement with the companies.
A group of those affected by the phone calls filed a lawsuit against the companies, claiming the telemarketing calls violated the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. Freedom Financial Network and the other defendants have denied any wrongdoing but agreed to the settlement to resolve the matter without litigation. The deadline to file a claim is Saturday.

Records from the defendants must show that an applicant received a phone call from them to qualify for this settlement. The amount an affected person will receive from the settlement will depend on the number of people who file a claim. The estimated amount a person with a valid claim will receive ranges from $60 to $170, but it will not be finalized until the claims process has concluded.
Those who received calls from any of the defendants from May 17, 2017, through April 17, 2018, can get a piece of the settlement. The defendants in the case include Freedom Financial Network, Freedom Debt Relief, Fluent, and Lead Science.
