Customers of Dude Wipes have two more days to file a claim in a $9 million class-action settlement with the company after it allegedly misled people about its product.

The company was accused by a group of customers of making them believe its wipes were "flushable" when they were not, leading to legal action. Dude Products has denied any wrongdoing on the matter but has agreed to the settlement to avoid litigation on the matter. The deadline for eligible customers to file a claim in this settlement is Nov. 11.

Those who are eligible and file a claim can receive up to $0.50 per product, with a maximum of five claims per household without proof of purchase or a maximum of 40 claims per household with proof of purchase. Customers may submit their claims either with proof of purchase or without proof of purchase but may not do both methods.

To qualify for the payment, an affected consumer must file a claim. Otherwise, he or she will not receive any money. Consumers who purchased the wipes between Feb. 5, 2015, and Aug. 8, 2023, are eligible for a part of the up to $9 million settlement.

More information about this settlement involving Dude Wipes can be found on the website, which was authorized by the court.

The court has filed a final approval hearing on the settlement, which has been scheduled for Nov. 16, when consumers will be allowed to speak. If a customer agrees to it, he or she will be bound to the terms of the agreement and will give up certain rights to file claims against the company.

Other class-action settlements with a November deadline to file a claim include one for Capital One customers. The settlement comes after a hacker accessed millions of customers' personal information. Affected Capital One customers have until Nov. 27 to claim a piece of that settlement.
