Dude Wipes customers have three more days to file a claim in a $9 million class-action settlement with the company for allegedly misleading people about its products.

A group of customers accused the company of making them believe its wipes were "flushable" when they were not, leading to legal action. Dude Products has denied any wrongdoing but has agreed to the settlement to avoid litigation on the matter. The deadline for people to file a claim in this settlement is Nov. 11.

An affected customer must file a claim to qualify for the payment; otherwise, they will not receive any money. Consumers who purchased the wipes between Feb. 5, 2015, and Aug. 8, 2023, are eligible for a part of the up to $9 million settlement.

Eligible consumers who file a claim can receive up to $0.50 per product, with a maximum of five claims per household without proof of purchase or a maximum of 40 claims per household with proof of purchase. Customers may submit their claims either with proof of purchase or without proof of purchase, but may not do both methods.

A final approval hearing on the settlement has been scheduled by the court for Nov. 16, when consumers will be allowed to speak about the proposed settlement. If a customer agrees to it, he or she will be bound to the terms of the agreement and will give up certain rights to file claims against the company.

Another class-action settlement with a November deadline to file a claim is for Capital One customers. The settlement comes after a hacker accessed millions of customers' personal information. Affected Capital One customers have until Nov. 27 to claim a piece of that settlement.
