Tell It Like It Is, a super PAC working to elect former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie in 2024, debuted an ad in New Hampshire that features former President Donald Trump's mug shot taken last week in Georgia.
The ad, "Winning Again," was part of a six-figure buy in New Hampshire to broadcast the 30-second spot statewide, according to the Messenger.

The ad begins with footage of Trump, followed by his mug shot. "Tired of the drama, the distractions, the lies? It's time for conservatives to win again," it says.
It also features Christie hugging Gov. Chris Sununu (R-NH), whose centrist Republican leadership has been overwhelmingly popular in the state. It also points out that Christie was a "successful blue-state governor," akin to Sununu.
In recent polling of the Granite State, nearly half of New Hampshire Republican primary voters opted for Trump, similar to polling across the country. However, Christie was the second-most-selected candidate, with 9%. He beat out both Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), who has maintained his position in second place since entering the race, and Vivek Ramaswamy, who has been rising in national polls.

Christie has focused much of his time campaigning in New Hampshire as well, which is understood to be relatively conservative when it comes to the economy but has not been receptive to the cultural debates taking place in other states.
It's unknown how Republicans in New Hampshire will feel about the use of Trump's mug shot by Christie. Trump has been successful in using the photograph to spur donations, however. In the days following the mug shot's release, Trump's campaign pulled in more than $7 million.
