Aid for Women is a pro-life clinic that helps pregnant women, and pursuant to Catholic teaching, does not abort babies or refer mothers to get abortions. For that reason, Democrats and leftist activists hate these crisis pregnancy centers and want to drive them out of business.
On Thursday night, after the Democratic National Convention ended, one of AFW’s clinics was vandalized, with the apparent intention of stopping them from opening on Friday — that is the vandals presumably wanted to make sure pregnant women couldn’t get help.
This clinic and AFW have repeatedly been targeted by abortion-rights advocates.
Two years ago, the Party for Socialism and Liberation got together with an anti-pregnancy-center group called Reproductive Transparency Now to protest at AFW’s fundraiser.
They call these centers “fake clinics” because they apparently believe that the only real support someone can provide a pregnant woman is abortion.
That same group protested in front of the clinic entrance earlier this year, and the left-wing news outlet covering the protest included the address of the location.
When Reproductive Transparency Now held a protest against pro-life clinics last summer, it used the slogan that Vice President Kamala Harris’s campaign has adopted, “We won’t go back,” and added, “We will fight back.”
Now someone appears to have taken that “fight back” promise literally.
Vandalizing and trying to destroy pro-life clinics have become common since the leak of the Supreme Court’s Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that restored the ability of legislatures to set abortion law. Democratic politicians, such as Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), have called for the abolition of pro-life clinics.
So stop for a moment and go back in time about five weeks, back before someone tried to assassinate former President Donald Trump, and recall the way Democrats and liberal commentators used to talk about such vandalism and terrorism.

It was “stochastic terrorism” to criticize gender ideology or the abortion industry, Democrats and liberal commentators told us. That is, folks who criticized the Left were to blame for any violent or illegal actions taken against the Left’s institutions or public figures.
By that logic, the Democrats and “Reproductive Transparency Now” are clearly guilty of “stochastic terrorism” against Aid for Women.
