


A television news team in Chicago was robbed at gunpoint Monday as the crew reported on crime in the Democrat-run city.
The incident took place around 5 a.m. when the Univision team was covering the latest string of armed robberies in the Windy City, according to a report.

At least three masked men left their vehicles and approached the Spanish-language reporter and photographer while displaying their weapons, the report noted.
The suspects took the pair's money and ravaged their SUV, stealing at least one camera, bags of film equipment, and a backpack, according to National Association of Broadcast Employees and Technicians Local 41 President Raza Siddiqui.
No injuries related to the incident have been reported.

The string of armed robberies the news team was covering purportedly occurred on the same block where they were robbed.
Monday's robbery marks the second time in August that a Chicago news crew has been the victim of the Windy City's crime.
