He’s brought it up so often that one key online influencer suggested that if Washington players want to get Trump’s attention, head to Washington’s Hall of States office building on Capitol Hill and bypass Fox’s fifth-floor suites for C-SPAN studios on the sixth floor.
Trump has become such a student of the non-profit cable network that refused government funds when it started 46 years ago that he appears to know the difference between its channels.
"As Mike said before – I happened to listen to him. He was on C-SPAN 1. That's a big upgrade, right? I was listening as I was putting on the tie. How does it look? He was on C-SPAN 1."

And he doesn’t just note C-SPAN when he is talking to its main audience. He even brought it up at his recent Cabinet meeting in a brag on his trade representative, Jamieson Greer, and hinted that he’s watching in the middle of the night.
“I watched you testify for the last couple of days. You were on every night testifying at three o’clock in the morning. And you did great. You were fantastic, thank you very much,” said Trump to laughter around the table.
