Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) blasted liberals for weaponizing race and stirring up hate to cover their fear of losing black voters.
“Democrats already know they’re losing black men,” Donalds told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “Black men are looking at what’s going on under Joe Biden and the Democrats, and they’re basically saying, ‘This is enough. We’re out,’ because their pockets aren’t getting better. Job prospects aren’t getting better. The economy is squeezing black families more than most families in this country.”

Donalds, who is black, called the news of the NAACP issuing a Florida travel advisory for black people “dumb.”
“I don’t know what they’re really talking about,” Donalds said of the NAACP travel advisory. “I think they’re more mad because they don’t have a voice per se through the legislature. The governor is not listening to this kind of stuff — he shouldn’t listen to this kind of stuff. Black Americans have been moving to Florida for a long time. They continue to move to Florida. They’re thriving in our state.”
The Florida congressman also slammed The View’s Whoopi Goldberg and Sunny Hostin for being hypocritical with their criticism over Sen. Tim Scott’s (R-SC) newly declared presidential candidacy, saying Scott needs to recognize his success is an “exception and not the rule.”

“There are black people in our country who are making it and are doing quite well,” Donalds said. “They are haters because they are liberals first and foremost, and they cannot tolerate black people in this country saying, ‘You know what? I’m done with Democrat policy because it doesn’t work when you actually look at it because the Democrats understand that without black voters being loyal to them, then they lose. Period.”
“The truth of the matter is, the Democrats — this is the only game that they have because if you look at their policy, whether you want to talk about currency, economy, border, foreign affairs, crime, education, you look at the actual points — they are losing the country,” he continued. “They weaponize race, unfortunately, against the American people to continue to divide our politics.”
