NextImg:Buzz: Reagan movie makes history with biggest Rotten Tomatoes gap - Washington Examiner

Reagan, the new movie about former President Ronald Reagan, with Dennis Quaid in the starring role, has made history — of sorts.

It holds the record for the largest gap between bad reviews from professionals and five-star approvals from those who have watched it. Its Rotten Tomatoes score is a very poor 18 from the professionals and a near-perfect 98 from over 5,000 viewers.

What’s more, it has already taken in over $25 million, more than Oliver Stone’s 2008 presidential biopic W. about former President George W. Bush, which the critics liked and viewers hated.

The film ended its fourth week in theaters in the top 10, holding the No. 8 position with $2 million in box office receipts.

— Glock has produced its latest Trump-focused handgun, a small and concealable 43X 9 mm that features the famous “fight” image of the former president after he was hit by a would-be assassin’s bullet on July 13 in Butler, Pennsylvania. On one side, the words “fight” are printed, and on the other side is his promise to “never surrender.” Glock has made several others with Trump’s images on them, including one of his mug shot.

— Congressional reporters are getting special training on how to react to a Capitol riot. This note just arrived from the Senate sergeant-at-arms: “Training will consist of a review of the emergency notification procedures, contacting Capitol Police and the protective actions which include evacuation, shelter in place, relocation/internal relocation, and donning escape hoods.”
