Officers with U.S. Customs and Border Protection spilled the beans on President Joe Biden's broken border this week when they seized more than $21 million worth of fentanyl pills disguised as green beans.
At least 3.25 million pills were intercepted by CBP officials at California's Otay Mesa Port of Entry Monday around 7:21 p.m., according to a release by CBP.

"CBP officers encountered a 48-year-old male driver of a tractor trailer, with a shipment manifested as green beans," the release read. "During initial inspection, a CBP officer referred the driver and cargo load for an intensive agriculture inspection."
A non-intrusive inspection revealed irregularities, and a CBP human/narcotic detector dog led officials to discover 308 packages of fentanyl disguised as a shipment of green beans, according to the release.
The total weight of the fentanyl pills measured over 776 lbs.

"CBP recognizes our officers' exceptional performance and applaud their continued efforts to protect and serve our communities," Port Director for the Otay Mesa Cargo Facility Rosa Hernandez said. "This seizure provides insight and displays how our officers work together in collaboration to keep this dangerous drug off the streets."
The tractor-trailer was seized, and the driver was taken into custody on narcotic smuggling charges and turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
