Bonhoeffer film highlighting WWII fight against antisemitism to be released by Angel Studios in 2024

The film will feature the true story of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a pastor who opposed violence during World War II and stood with uncompromising conviction as he spoke out against the Nazi regime despite facing oppression.

“There has never been a time in history where we needed to be reminded of the life of Dietrich Bonhoeffer more than today,” Angel Studios President Jordan Harmon said.
Bonhoeffer was written and directed by Todd Komarnicki, whose screenplays include Sully and Elf.
"Encountering Dietrich Bonhoeffer and being honored with the opportunity to share his thrilling story with the world has been a singular privilege,” Komarnicki said. “Dietrich’s message of peace and courage is as urgent in 2023 as it was in 1945."
The film will feature Jonas Dassler of The Golden Glove as Bonhoeffer.
