A challenger to Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) has outraised the congresswoman by three times in the second quarter of 2023 after losing by less than 600 votes last year.
Adam Frisch, a Democrat hoping to unseat Boebert in the general election next year, has raised more than $2.6 million in 2023's second quarter, while Boebert has only raised approximately $818,000, according to the Colorado Sun.

The quarter marks the second time Frisch has raised more than the conservative this year, raising $1.7 million compared to Boebert's $764,000 in the first quarter. The first quarter spanned January to March, while the second quarter comprised April, May, and June.
Frisch's income during the second quarter had actually set a record, his campaign alleged last week. According to the campaign, Frisch's fundraising broke the record for the highest amount raised from donors by a challenger in a House race in an off year.
Boebert's and Frisch’s numbers also outpace their challengers in their respective primaries, according to Colorado Public Radio.
The majority of Frisch's money comes from personal donations. During the first quarter, the money came from 48,338 donations, with the bulk of those contributions equaling $100 or less. It is unclear how many of the donations in the second quarter came from small donors, but the money comes from all 50 states and all 27 counties within Colorado, his campaign said.

Frisch narrowly lost to Boebert during the 2022 midterm elections, falling behind the Republican incumbent by 546 votes. The narrow margin made the race one of the tightest races of the midterm cycle.
Democrats are targeting Boebert's House seat to flip in the 2024 election as Republicans try to hold on to their narrow majority.
