The discussions about potentially replacing President Joe Biden on the presidential ballot are heading in an obvious direction because even Biden’s team has the knives out for him now.
Biden’s team and campaign have more leaks than the Titanic right now, as his inner circles are repeatedly throwing him under the bus to the liberal media apparatus that has also turned on him. That includes leaked Democratic internal polling to Puck that shows Biden lost about 2% support across the board after the debate, showing him trailing in the normal swing states alongside New Hampshire, Virginia, and New Mexico.
Current and former Biden officials also leaked several more damaging stories about his condition. This includes a leak to the New York Times that Biden’s debate prep never started before 11 a.m. and that it included scheduled afternoon naps for the 81-year-old. A leak to the Washington Post claims that former President Barack Obama was privately telling allies that Biden’s chances of winning were already tough and have become even worse. And the New York Times reported Wednesday morning that Biden told a “key ally” that he may not be able to salvage his campaign.

Whether you put merit into these leaks or not isn’t the point. White House spokesman Andrew Bates said the latter story is “absolutely false,” for whatever that is worth (which, given the White House’s lies about Biden’s condition, isn’t much). The point is that these leaks are happening, and they are coming from people who have worked closely with Biden or are working closely with him now, including people involved in his campaign given that we are getting internal polling.
The leaks from Biden’s campaign and administration are designed to damage him, meaning people who work with or around him want him out of the race. Couple that with liberal media going from being complicit in covering up his condition to leading the assault, as well as Democratic politicians and operatives having already been leaking to the media about their own concerns, and it is clear that Biden’s position is crumbling. He is running out of allies privately, and that will soon bleed into the public sphere if he can’t prove that he is able to keep running (which he can’t).
