President Joe Biden wants the federal government to destroy your small business, all in the name of “equity.”
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission is bringing the hammer down on Meathead Movers, a moving company from Fresno, California, for not hiring enough older people. Meathead Movers brands itself as “student-athlete movers” and depicts its movers as muscular young men. This is pretty unsurprising because, if you want to move furniture, you presumably want to have strong young men do it, not 60-year-old men.

As company owner Aaron Steed said, “We are 100% open to hiring anyone at any age if they can do the job,” but some people “are turned off by how hard it is. You have to move furniture and run to get more.”
Since Democrats gained control of the EEOC in August thanks to Biden’s nominees, the group has already voted on seven supposed instances of “age discrimination.” That is compared to just three the rest of the year before August. A spokeswoman for the EEOC shamed Meathead Movers for searching for new hires at gyms, where people who can lift couches would be more easily found, because “word-of-mouth is never a good way to recruit.”

It should also be noted that while Biden’s EEOC is hunting for businesses to sue for not being equitable, the investigation into Meathead Movers started in 2017 under former President Donald Trump, and the EEOC did so without ever having even received a complaint about the business. (Don’t worry, though. Trump will definitely “drain the swamp” and stop the weaponization of government next time after conveniently forgetting about it during his first term.)

But Biden’s EEOC is ramping up the same kind of witch hunts that caught up a small business such as Meathead Movers. The group filed the lawsuit in September, after Biden’s nominees flipped the board’s power. This isn’t just Biden being self-conscious about his own age and diminished capabilities to do his job. This is all about “equity,” the new favorite word of the Democratic Party that means, in practice, erasing merit and lowering standards of work so that everyone can reach them.
This concept of equity means destroying children’s educations by removing basic standards, and it means destroying small businesses for not being diverse enough, even when that lack of diversity is just not hiring enough old people to lift heavy things into trucks. Equity is about destroying basic standards and using government power to do so, and that is what Biden and Democrats intend to do so long as they have that power.
