An American was murdered by the terrorists who were holding him hostage. President Joe Biden’s reaction was to demand that those terrorists be able to remain safely in power in their lives of luxury.
American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, who was abducted by Hamas 332 days ago, was found dead after Hamas executed him and five other hostages. Biden said he was “devastated and outraged” in a statement and that Hamas “will pay for these crimes,” but that is obviously untrue. If anything, so long as Biden is president, Hamas will continue to be paid despite its crimes.
Biden undercuts his pathetic attempts at talking tough by placing blame on Israel for the war and the death of hostages instead of solely on Hamas. After the news of Goldberg-Polin’s execution, Biden blamed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for not working hard enough for a ceasefire deal, for which Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris have been agitating for months.
The “ceasefire” deal, which Hamas will inevitably violate if it ever agrees to it, is an exchange of hostages being held by Hamas to Israel on the condition that Israel surrenders the war. That means that Hamas, which executed Goldberg-Polin and other Americans after slaughtering 1,200 civilians and taking others hostage, would remain in power. Hamas would remain able and eager to attempt another Oct. 7-like attack, along with all the other stabbings, bombings, and missile launches the group orchestrated prior to that attack.

It also means that the Hamas leaders who orchestrated all of this would continue to live in lavish luxury, as they had been before the war they started. Hamas would also continue to steal civilian aid to fund its terrorist activities, the same civilian aid that Biden, Harris, and other Democrats are eager to pump into Gaza. What Biden is fighting for is for the Hamas leaders who have survived the war up to this point to get off scot-free for murdering civilians, including multiple Americans like Goldberg-Polin.
Biden can say that Hamas will pay or that he supports Israel as many times as he likes, but his stated goal would keep Hamas in power and protect it up until it inevitably attacks Israel again. Biden’s constant capitulation to the terrorists who executed Goldberg-Polin and other Americans is shameful, pathetic, and dangerous to other Americans in the region who may become future targets for the emboldened terrorists Biden is seeking to protect.
