President Joe Biden would rather children undergo permanent, irreversible sex changes at any age than defy the transgender activists who have taken control of the Democratic Party’s decision-making.
Emails from members of the World Professional Association for Transgender Health show that the Biden administration pushed the group to eliminate age minimums for sex changes and other transgender procedures purely to try and alter the political discourse on the topic. One unnamed WPATH member recounted his or her interaction with a member of the Biden administration as follows: “She is confident, based on the rhetoric she is hearing in D.C., and from what we have already seen, that these specific listings of ages, under 18, will result in devastating legislation for trans care. She wonders if the specific ages can be taken out.”
Again, the Biden administration wanted the group to eliminate all age minimums from its guidelines for irreversible sex changes for children because it viewed any restrictions as being politically damaging to allowing children to alter their bodies permanently.
This push was led by Rachel Levine, Department of Health and Human Services assistant secretary, and his team. Levine, a biological male who claims to be a woman, has argued that children can go through the “wrong puberty,” that anyone who questions sex changes for children should be censored, and that sex changes for children are “literally suicide prevention care.” Another WPATH email detailed that Levine “was very concerned that having ages (mainly for surgery) will affect access to care for trans youth and maybe adults, too.” (Emphasis added).
Other WPATH members criticized this interference, with one writing, “If our concern is with legislation (which I don’t think it should be — we should be basing this on science and expert consensus if we’re being ethical) wouldn’t including the ages be helpful?.”

Therein lies the problem, though. “Transgender medicine” is not based on science or being ethical for the vast majority of people claiming to be experts in it. The focus is on “affirming” peoples’ scientifically illiterate view that they can become men or women just by claiming to be, which is why Levine is pushing for no age minimums for anything, regardless of the biological consequences.
This is what Biden is pushing. He does not think there should be any age limits for pumping children full of chemicals or surgically carving up their bodies so that they can present themselves as the opposite sex. This has nothing to do with science or ethics and everything to do with the political activism of transgender activists who have taken hold of the Democratic Party and Biden’s administration.
